Students had access to snacks, hot chocolate, water, stickers and other items where they could make their own self-care bags with. “This was such a good experience for me, and I loved it,” she continued. “I honestly loved it, it was the first event that I came to on campus where I got to see a lot of people of color and just on top of COVID it was an interesting thing because I just haven’t seen a lot of people,” Jaela Horton ‘23 said in an interview. ![]() ![]() Even so, participants said they enjoyed themselves. In an interview, BSU President Brianna Christie ‘22 said that the club’s executive board had planned more activities, but the remaining things that they ordered like an assortment of tea, notebooks, and another set of facemasks did not arrive in time. It was a chance for the thirteen people who attended to make self-care goody bags, share their tips with others on self-care, and even have a chance to win a prize just for attending. 10 in the empowerment lounge with “Self-Care Night.” ![]() Black Student Union (BSU) hosted its first event for Black History Month on Feb.
